The Mission
Develop the player. Build the person.
SLAAM exists to develop Pittsburgh's next generation of girls hoopers, on the court and off of it. Real coaching, real exposure, and a standard the program does not negotiate on.
Who We Are
Built in Pittsburgh, on the road across the region.
SLAAM Basketball is a girls AAU program built in Pittsburgh and competing across PA / NY / WV / OH / MD / NJ. We run year-round and serve athletes from 4th grade through high school.
The program is owned and led by people who grew up in this city's basketball culture. The work is rigorous, the standard is loud, and the door is open to any athlete ready to commit.
We don't hide players. We develop them.
What We Do
Three programs. Same standard.
Equal leagues. The work is the same whether you're in Power 24, Select 40, or coming up through the youth side. Lazy drills and 2-3 zones aren't on the menu.
Power 24
Our top high school athletes competing on the national circuit. Power 24 plays where the rooms that matter are watching.
Learn MoreSelect 40
High school players competing across regional and national divisions. Same standard, broader bench.
Learn MoreE-40 / Middle + Youth
Middle school and youth teams for families serious about developing position-less players. Same standard, earlier in the journey.

What we are not negotiating on.
Real Coaching
Our coaching staff has played at every level. Practices are structured, demanding, and built around individual development inside team concepts. We do not run drills for the sake of running drills.
A Path Forward
Every athlete in the program has a defined next step. From E-40 up through Power 24, athletes know what they are working toward and what it takes to get there.
Eyes On Her
Live-period exposure events, edited highlight film, and direct outreach to college coaches who fit each athlete. Recruiting is a job we share with the family.
A Sisterhood
The relationships built inside SLAAM travel beyond the season. Teammates push each other in the gym and have each other’s back outside of it.
Accountability
School first. Show up on time. Be coachable. Standards do not slide because someone can score. The expectations are the same for everyone wearing SLAAM.
A Hometown
Pittsburgh raised, Pittsburgh built. We rep the 412 on every floor we step on, and we represent the way our city plays the game.
The Support
What every SLAAM family gets.
Year-Round Training
Skills work, position-specific sessions, and scheduled team practices outside of tournament weekends.
National Exposure
Live-period circuits and showcase events that put SLAAM athletes in front of the right rooms.
Recruiting Support
Film, profile help, and direct coach outreach. The family is never working the recruiting process alone.
SLAAM Events
Our own tournaments, leagues, and clinics. Hosting our own brings the level of competition home.
